Norwegian Cyclist André Drege Dead at 25 After Bike Crashes Into Mountain

André Drege—a cyclist from Norway—has died at the age of 25 following a crash during the final stages of the Tour of Austria race.

The cycling community is in mourning after a tragic accident.

André Drege, a professional cyclist from Norway, has died after losing control of his bike during the final stage of the Tour of Austria, race organizers confirmed. He was 25.

“On Saturday 6th July following a very serious crash during the descent of the Großglockner at stage 4 of the Tour of Austria,” the statement posted to social media read, “André crashed and sustained severe injuries.”

The note continued, “Our entire team is devastated by this tragic accident, and our thoughts and prayers are with André’s family and loved ones, his team Coop-Repsol, during this incredibly difficult time.”

Drege’s team also confirmed his passing on social media, adding, “André’s family has requested privacy as they mourn their loss, and we kindly ask that their wishes are respected.”

According to local outlet Kronen Zeitung, a rescue helicopter responded to the accident, which occurred when Drege crashed on the descent from Grossglockner to Heiligenblut. Following the athlete’s death, the final stage of the race was canceled and instead, cyclists participated in a memorial ride in his honor.

“After the wishes of André’s father and closest family, his teammates and the entire team, a memorial ride will be held today,” Drege’s team Coop-Repsol wrote on X July 7. “This gives the cycling family the opportunity to come to terms with what happened and to honour André Drege’s memory. For André, forever in our hearts.”

Tour of Austria Director Thomas Pupp also spoke about Drege’s passing. “For my person, I’m not only standing here as the tour director, I am standing more as a father as a father of three,” he said in an emotional video. “And I can deeply imagine what this tragic accident yesterday means for the family of Andre. It’s so unfair, a young life full of positive prospects and desires and wishes and hopes ended so dramatically."

The cyclist's accident occured after a successful start to his season, having already won seven road races. Drege had also taken home the overall win at the Visit South Aegean Islands race and at the International Tour of Rhodes.

Following his death, a number of tributes and well wishes were shared among the cycling community.

Belgian team Intermarché–Wanty also wrote, “We are heartbroken to learn the passing of our fellow colleague cyclist André Drege, who had a wonderful career ahead of him. We send our sincere condolences to his family and his team.”
 

YouTuber Pretty Pastel Please Dead at 30

Sad news is coming out of the YouTube community ... Pretty Pastel Please, an Australian content creator known for her fashion hauls and travel videos, has died.

The news was shared on her IG page on Friday, July 5 ... revealing the online star, whose real name was Alexandra, died in June. Although the cause of her death wasn't disclosed, her loss was described as "sudden, unexpected, and devastating to all who knew her."

The statement, accompanied by a pic of Alex holding her pet bird with "In Memoriam" written above, requested privacy for all who knew her to navigate their grief.

The caption read: "We would ask that you respect their wishes — they appreciate all of your support but need time to heal in private. A memorial will be posted on YouTube and here on Instagram in due course. Thank you for understanding in this difficult time."

Alex had accumulated over 690,000 YouTube subscribers since she uploaded her first video in Dec 2017. She had recently joined Twitch as well, sharing her last live stream there on June 25.

Some of Alex's popular content included eating only 7-Eleven food in Japan for a week, which garnered over 4M views. She also had a popular video where her bird "whispered" into her microphone for 5 mins straight.

She had also opened up about deeply personal matters -- back in July 2023, she discussed her divorce from her husband Dan. The year before, she spoke out about dealing with trolls.

Simone Biles Says "Not Everyone Needs a Mic" Amid MyKayla Skinner Controversy

After retired gymnast MyKayla Skinner criticized the 2024 Olympics team, Simone Biles posted a message stating, "Not everyone needs a mic."

Simone Biles is standing up for her squad.

The celebrated gymnast—who will soon represent Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics—seemingly weighed in after former teammate MyKayla Skinner appeared to criticize the group's work ethic.

While Simone didn't mention MyKayla by name, she wrote on Threads July 3, "Not everyone needs a mic and a platform."

The post came after MyKayla sparked controversy in a since-deleted YouTube video for saying, "Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn't like what it used to be."

In addition to Simone, fellow gymnasts Suni Lee, Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles and Hezly Rivera will represent Team USA in Paris.

"The girls just don't have the work ethic," MyKayla continued, before referencing the U.S. Center for SafeSport, a nonprofit organization, helping to end abuse in athletics. "And it's hard too because of SafeSport. Like, coaches can't get on athletes and they have to be really careful what they say."

"Which, in some ways, is really good," she noted, "but at the same time, to get to where you need to be in gymnastics you do have to be, I feel like, a little aggressive and a little intense."

And although MyKayla has since apologized—saying on her Instagram Story July 3 that she's "sorry for anything that got out of context or seemed hurtful"—her comments have made an impact online.

In fact, former gymnast Vanessa Atler defended the team, writing on her Instagram July 4 that she's "never seen so much depth" in squad.

In celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary, the couple—who wed in epic fashion in 1999—marked the occasion by slipping into their distinctive purple matching outfits that closely resembled the ones worn during their reception.

"Yep, still got it!" Victoria wrote in a joint July 4 Instagram post featuring the pair holding hands while sporting their ensembles, "Can’t believe it’s been 25 years and they still fit!"

Added the Spice Girls alum—who shares kids Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Harper Seven, 12—with the soccer star, "We love you so much."

But she wasn't the only one taking a walk down memory lane, since David himself also shared a glimpse at sweet photos from their wedding day and footage of Victoria trying on one of her dresses now.

"We still got it," the 49-year-old captioned his July 4 social media post, "Love You."

This, of course, wouldn't be the first time the pair have celebrated how much they'll be there for each other, especially when it comes to their family. In fact, David recently shared just how much he adores those closest to him.

"My biggest achievement in life are my children," he wrote on Instagram June 16 in celebration of Father's Day, "thank you @victoriabeckham for giving me these incredible people to love Always remember how much Dad loves you all xxxx."

Chris Martin's partner Dakota Johnson and kids Apple and Moses supported him as he performed with Coldplay at the Glastonbury festival.

Glastonbury was a full family affair for Chris Martin.

The Coldplay frontman's partner Dakota Johnson and children Apple Martin, 20, and Moses Martin, 18—whom he shares with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow—were all seen together in a VIP section cheering on his band as they performed a headlining set at the U.K. music festival June 29.

Dakota, who multiple outlets reported in March has been privately engaged to Chris for years, was photographed standing with Apple, with Moses spotted a few feet away. The group was captured on camera on a BBC live stream of the event.

Dakota, 34, and Chris, 47, first sparked romance rumors in 2017 when she was spotted at a Coldplay concert. The Fifty Shades of Grey actress has since attended several, including in 2023 when her partner serenaded her onstage during a show in Italy.

Earlier this year, Dakota gushed about her support of the musician at his concerts. 

"I love watching him," she told Bustle in an interview published in March. "I could watch him every day. I don’t know how to explain it. I feel like, I don’t know... I’m watching my most favorite being do his most favorite thing."

The Madame Web star also spoke about her relationship with Chris and Gwyneth's children. "I love those kids like my life depends on it," she said. "With all my heart."

Cristiano Ronaldo still lives and breathes soccer at 39, but the father of five has been busy shaping his legacy for life after sports.

Nor do you even have to know that by football we mean soccer, which is what the game is called in the United States, while "American football" is how the rest of the world refers to the humble little sport that regularly attracts at least 100 million viewers for its championship match each year.

And since it's quite possible that fans are as familiar with the cut of Ronaldo's abs as they are with his attack style on the pitch, he's been one of the most-watched players on and off the field, no matter what country you've been watching from, for two decades.

Now 39 and playing in his record sixth European Championship, however, the Portuguese athlete is closer to the end of his storied career than the beginning. And it's life after football that motivated his decision to sign a reported $350 million-per-year contract with Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr FC at the end of 2022.

Last year Ronaldo said his "work in Europe is done," according to Sports Illustrated's Fan Nation, and he was ready for a new challenge after playing for "all the most important clubs" in the region.

Of the warm reception he received upon arrival in Riyadh, he said, "The welcome is amazing and I'm really proud."

Before making that monumental move he had spent two seasons with Manchester United, the club where his professional journey kicked into high gear in 2003 as an 18-year-old wearing No. 7 in the footsteps of David Beckham.

Prior to that Ronaldo enjoyed a three-year run with Italy's Juventus, which broke the country's record for player acquisition (and the all-time record for a player over 30) when it acquired the star from Spain's Real Madrid for $128 million in July 2018. 

He's also the all-time leading scorer in international competition, with 128 goals for Portugal since making his debut with the national team in 2003.

"I still have a passion for the game," Ronaldo said while being honored at the Best FIFA Awards in Zurich in January 2022. "It's to entertain myself and I have played football since I was 5 or 6 years old. I feel joy when I train and my motivation is still there."

He continued, "People ask me how many years I'm going to continue playing—I hope to play for four or five more years. Physically if you treat your body well, it will give you something back. I love the game and I want to continue."

Turning pro at 17, he spent a year with Sporting PC in Lisbon and then six years with Manchester United—until Real Madrid paid a then-record $105 million for him in 2009.

In 2016, he signed a four-year extension with Real Madrid that netted him upward of $50 million a year through the 2020-21 season. 

Just as the ink was drying on that contract, he became the third athlete ever, after Michael Jordan and LeBron James, to sign a lifetime deal with Nike—meaning the swoosh will be going wherever he goes for the remainder of his professional career and beyond—said to be worth roughly $1 billion.

Rob, 37, was seen cheering and smiling as Khloe made her wish. The video then continued with photos and clips of her and her kids True, 6, and Tatum, 22 months, whom she shares with ex Tristan Thompson.

“Deeply Grateful For Every Moment,” Khloe captioned the post. “I love you! I am so excited and thankful for this fresh decade and all it has in store!!!”

For her big day, the Kardashians star received an outpouring of love and tributes from loved ones, including mom Kris Jenner.

“I am not sure what I did to deserve you, but I thank God every single day for the beautiful blessing of being your mommy,” she wrote in an emotional message. “You are one of the most wonderful loves of my life, and I cherish each and every glorious memory we have ever made.”

“You are everyone’s favorite auntie and literally have dedicated and devoted yourself to your babies and to all of your nieces and nephews and are everyone’s hero,” the 68-year-old continued. “You are someone so truly special and have the most amazing creativity, style, energy, beauty and love that exudes from you.”

Tori Spelling Reveals She Once Got a Boob Job at a Local Strip Mall

90210’s Tori Spelling shared the comical story of her first breast augmentation after being pressed by a fan about her boob jobs.

Tori Spelling admitted to making one, or two, eyebrow-raising decisions at 19. 

While reflecting on her experiences undergoing breast augmentation surgery in response to a probing fan question, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum shared insight into her first experience getting her breasts worked on as a teen.

"‘Did I get my boobs done in the back of a van down by the river?'" Tori chuckled on the June 22 episode of her misSPELLING podcast. "Which version of them? I just got them done again, you guys! I think these aren't the ones either. Third time will be the charm."

But the actress did dive into her experience with her two boob jobs, noting she only had her second to undo the first one. 

My whole intention of getting them redone was to go smaller," the 51-year-old explained. "Looking back in the ‘90s, I liked my boobs, I wish I had just kept them. I was like a 32B, maybe like an A+ or minus. I just wanted to make them fuller."

And besides reflecting on not being quite happy with the size of her breasts after the procedure, Tori also couldn't contain her laughter as she recalled the overall experience. 

"My first boob job, I had a friend at the time—it was the bad boyfriend I talk about, it was his friend's girlfriend—and she was like, ‘Oh you just have to go to this place,'" she noted. "I went to this doctor and it was in a strip mall. I can't make this up. I think he was a fine doctor. It was just an outpatient surgery center in a strip mall. I was 19, so I was like ‘Uh this isn't Beverly Hills,' I was confused."

Despite her concerns, Tori went through with the operation, and ended up recovering with the help of her A-list besties.

"Of course I didn't say anything. I got them done and they took me home," she explained. "At the time, I was best friends with Alicia Silverstone and Carmen Electra, and they were taking care of me. I can't even make this stuff up, you guys."
